The Braiddown Bar is not just looking for what you already know — we are looking for braiders who are willing to grow beyond it. We hire diverse braiders who are ready to step outside of their comfort zone and become well-rounded Braiddown Specialists. That is what it takes to thrive here, and that is exactly what we will help you do.
For the beginner braider, we offer a professional space to gain real client experience and build your confidence without the pressure of building a clientele from scratch. For the experienced braider navigating a slow season in thier own business, we give you a place to stay in your craft and supplement your income without ever having to step outside of your passion.

 

​To work at The Braiddown Bar, you must:
 

 •    Be 18 years of age or older
   •    Have reliable transportation
   •    Already possess foundational braiding skills (plaiting, braiding, cornrows, etc.)
   •    Have a willingness to learn, grow, and receive feedback
   •    Bring a positive, professional attitude

All Braiddown Specialists are hired as W-2 employees.
You keep 50% of every service you perform starting day one. As you grow with us, so does your earning potential. Tier advancement requires continuous employment in good standing and meeting minimum monthly service revenue thresholds.
   •    Months 1–6 — You keep 50%
   •    Months 7–12 — You keep 52%
   •    Months 13–18 — You keep 53%
   •    Months 19–24 — You keep 55%
Tips
Clients tip you directly at the end of their appointment — 100% of every gratuity goes straight to you.
